About Judaism
The followers of Judaism are called Jews. Jews worship on Saturday and use a Turah. The role of the Turah is to direct many aspects of Jewish religious and social life. Kosher is when food is conformed to the Jewish law. There is no dairy,meat,pork,or shellfish.There is also a bar/bat mitzvah. That is when boys(the age of 13) and girls(the age of 12) become adults in the eye of the Jewish religon. Jews worship in synagogues. They are lead by Rabbis that teach the TaNaCH. The TaNaCH is Jews holy book. Some holidays and holy days the Jews celebrate are Rosh Hashanah,Yom Kippur,Pass Over, and Hanukkah. Rosh Hashanah is a new year festival celebrated around September and October. Yom Kippur is the day of atonement when Jews fast,pray,and atone their sins. Pass Over is the marks of the Jews form Slavery from Egypt. Hanukkah is the Festival of lights.The holy place of Jews is Jerusalem.
