April 26 Civil War Day
11:30AM- 2:30PM FREE ADMISSION
Come join us as we remember those that served through the Civil War, both for the Union and the Confederacy. This living history event will include military drills, musket firing demonstrations, camp life displays, and activities to help everyone understand what life was like for those that served during the War Between the States.
May 10 Mother's Day Tea
11:30AM $15 per Adult/ $10 per Child
The museum is hosting a Mother’s Day Tea for ages 5-up. Costumed staff will deliver a short program on the history of tea drinking and leisure activities of the 19th century. Participants will partake in a tea party complete with fresh brewed tea, lemonade, finger sandwiches, pastries, and other savory offerings. While dressing up is not required, it is encouraged. There will be a hat contest at the conclusion of the program!

Please join us for our 10th Annual Family Fun Day. In addition to visiting the museum, families can sample free ice cream, take a carriage ride for $5 per person, make fun crafts in the Museum, and play historic games on the back lawn. Also, this year we will have three storytellers providing wonderful and fun stories throughout the day. These storytellers will demonstrate different styles including Appalachian Jack Tales, Native American Folk Tales, and even some puppetry.
