Main Ideas of Limited Government
Separation of Powers- principle by which power is divided among the legislative, executive, and judicial branch
Individual Rights- principle granting citizens individual rights
Federalism- some powers are delegated to the national government and some are reserved by the states
Rule of Law- principle by which the government is given the power to codify laws for everyone to follow
Popular Sovereignty- principle that the people hold the supreme power to govern
