Holiday Gift Giving Tree
Holiday Giving Program…
A great way to offer comfort and support to Buckingham families this holiday season.
Beginning November 29th, the Buckingham Giving Tree will be on display in the hallway nearest the main office. The Giving Tree will have tags on it that display the names of holiday gifts that can be donated for local families in need this holiday season. We invite our Buckingham Students to choose a tag if they wish & purchase the gift needed. We ask that you wrap the gift and be sure to secure the tag to the outside of the gift wrap. All gifts should be delivered to school by December 15th to ensure holiday delivery. Please deliver your gifts to the main office. Thank you so much for all of your wonderful generosity and support!
More information needed….Please contact Bryan Rosica at brosica@cbsd.org
Buckingham's "Turkey Toss" - Providing Meals for Families
We will be continuing our Annual Turkey Toss fundraiser for needy families with all Buckingham students. This student-favorite event will take place the week of December 11th through December 15th. Here is how it works:
- Each student is asked to bring in a monetary donation of their choice.
- All students will be participating in lots of fun games during their gym class during the 11th through 15th - also known as Turkey Toss Week.
- The class that earns the most points from all the games and relays will win the Silly Turkey Trophy, which will be proudly displayed in their classroom for the rest of the school year!
Please know that ALL STUDENTS WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES regardless of whether you can assist financially or not.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely, Nurse Randi and Mr. Durie

Josh will provide practical tips to protect your child today and allow them to shine online.
- What apps are unsafe (and others you should encourage your kids to use)
- What apps are a waste of time for your Teens and Tweens
- How to analyze your Google results to see what others will find
- How to bury bad Google results from other users with your similar name
- Examples of good and bad posts that colleges may find
- Examples from real seniors that are using social media correctly
- Tips you can suggest to use Google search like a college and future employer
- 7 Networks your kids need to be on to shine online
Josh travels the nation speaking to over 30,000 kids each year sharing with them tips they can use to create a positive online presence. Josh’s book, Light, Bright, and Polite for Teens, teaches kids of all ages that everything they post on social media will eventually be discovered by their parents, teachers, their school principal, and someday colleges and employers. He shows families and teenagers practical examples they can use to always keep it “Light, Bright, and Polite” by posting photos of community volunteer projects that will help them shine.
