SLP Schools Online: Grades K-6
February 16, 2022 Newsletter
See translation information below / Consulte la información de traducción a continuación.
Greetings,
Wow, this week went fast! Please remember there is no school tomorrow, Friday, or Monday. We return to school Tuesday, February 22.
Here are a few updates for this week:
- Spirit Week, Week of Giving: Next week, the Panther Foundation is leading a spirit week and week of giving. There’s fun planned for all including four days of spirit wear. And of course, the week concludes with a Panther party. Check out the newsletter for more information. I hope to see a white out on Tuesday when we return to school. Please share photos if your student participates in any spirit days!
- Face Masking: As communicated last week, the school board approved changes to the Face Mask Decision Making Guide that will be in place through the end of the school year. While this does not impact our K-6 online school directly, I want you all to be aware.
- Kindergarten Enrollment: All K-4 buildings offered a Kindergarten Kickoff event and we’re getting excited about next year. If you know a future Panther, let them know it’s not too late to visit or enroll. The priority deadline for enrollment is February 28, 2022.
- Attendance: Please remember attendance is taken and recorded at the end of each day based on student attendance and engagement in the "live" sessions for the day. Additionally, students must submit work each day that shows evidence of their engagement in the asynchronous (on-demand) learning experiences. If your child is absent due to illness, please be sure to call our attendance line to report this information. Attendance line: 763-600-5209
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me at 763-600-5057 or kfehri@district16.org. I am here to assist.
Enjoy the long weekend!
