The 2023 DAACE/OAASIS Joint Literacy Summit, "Persistance Makes All The Difference" will be held April 22, 2023, beginning at 8:30AM. This year's conference will be held remotely via Zoom. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS AND WORKSHOPS
The Summit will be lively with workshops and keynote speakers designed for both staff and student audiences. The first keynote speaker is our State Director, Maureen Whelan with welcoming remarks. Transition to session one starts at 9:15 AM with presenters Alta Poterfield, Statewide Social Innovator @ Delaware Libraries, John Schmidt, Prevention Services Coordinator for Yourth, DE Council on Gambling Problems and alumni student speaker Robert Dawson. Session two workshop selections include Brian Smith from GED Testing Services, DAACE Annual General Board Meeting, and alumni student speaker Donnie Stephens. Dr. Dan Young will begin his keynote address at 11 AM. The Summit will end with the awarding of the DAACE Mini Grants and Awards and honoring the OAASIS Outstanding Students for 2023. Workshop selections will open on April 17, 2023 and emails will be sent to all registered participants during this week to create breakout room selections.
