Un Mensaje de la Directora Sarlos
Thanks so much for your continued support and communication while we maintain our focus on remaining at school in person! We are sad to share with you that Joseph Nilaver a bilingual teaching assistant who was an asset to our program and our community has resigned. We were sad to see him go, but hope you will join us in wishing him the best in his future endeavors.
Our staff has developed an amazing Esprit de Corps and flexibility in this time. I am impressed daily with their determination. The children have also shown great resilience. Together, as a community, we are doing a great job persevering which is one of the character traits we teach our students. Thanks for your careful collaboration.
Warmly,
Lilian Sarlos

Update on Mask Policy
Our community is experiencing a level of positivity that is new in this pandemic and still our schools remain among the safest places where layered mitigation measures are being followed. We are extending our added measures of postponing volunteers and guests in our schools, limiting spectators at middle and high school extracurricular activities, and continuing with elementary school outdoor mask requirements for the time being, and will evaluate these protocols every two weeks. Based on cases reported to our nurses, and supported by public health findings, COVID-19 is being spread outside of school during social gatherings, amongst household members, and activities where oftentimes fewer protections are in place.
Contacting Nurses re: COVID-19, Keep Student Home Until Your Receive a Response
Dear LOSD Families,
Thank you for contacting our district nurses with your COVID-19 related concerns. Our nurses are responding to each inquiry in the order that they are received. Due to the high volume of calls and emails they are experiencing, please expect a delayed response of up to 24 hours.

Date symptoms started, if any symptoms
Date tested positive and where the test was taken
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
