Upcoming Events

This event is only available for 6th grade students.

Cuyamaca Outdoor School, also known as 6th grade camp, has connected over one million students with science and nature since 1946. Generations of school children have participated in hands-on lessons in an overnight camp setting. The activities aim to nourish an appreciation of nature, create a deeper understanding of science concepts, and provide an opportunity for students to explore their independence in a safe, educational and fun environment.

Cuyamaca Outdoor School, operated by the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE), is the only outdoor education program in San Diego County featuring credentialed teachers and a curriculum aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards.

Activities include nature studies, hiking, Native American history, camp fire songs and stories, rock climbing, archery, and astronomy in the darkened skies of the Cuyamaca Mountains.

This will be open to all Inspire 6th graders!
