MPES Connection
October 23, 2020
Message from Mrs. Mamon
Parent-Teacher conferences are coming up beginning on Monday, November 2nd. Conferences are a wonderful opportunity for parents to learn about their child’s progress in school. It is a time for parents to ask questions about their child's academic and behavioral performance and learn more about what students are studying. This year, all conferences will take place through Zoom. Your child's teacher will be sending out a conference sign up form through email next week. I encourage you to sign up for a conference time!

Counselor Corner
Last week we participated in the #MPCougars4Kindness Spirit Week because October is National Bullying Prevention Month. During Counselor Connection lessons all students received a lesson explaining the definition of bullying and what to do if you witness or experience bullying. Below is a helpful image to review this important topic with your student.
If you have any concerns about your student, please reach out to our school counselors, Ms. Rose (patricia.rose@mpark.net) and Ms. Rupert (makenzie.rupert@mpark.net). You can also fill out this Parent/Caregiver Referral to School Counselor form about your concerns.

Tips to Support your Student
- Start letting your student do things on their own, when possible, so they are learning how. Have them try on their own first!
- If you need to speak to the teacher for any reason, please contact him/her by email or phone during office hours, not during a live Zoom class.
- Try not to be on camera if/when supporting your student; build independence. If you need to support them, sit off camera so other students are not distracted.
Need IT Support?
Please email it.support@mpark.net.
Please make sure you include your student's name, the device type, and a detailed description of the problem.
