Dear Families,
On behalf of Peter Noyes School, we are so grateful to all our United States veterans and we thank you for your service and sacrifice. We miss the days of having an all-school celebration with our honorable Sudbury veterans around Veterans Day and we hope we’ll be able to gather safely next year to show our appreciation to the veterans in person. Thank you, Veterans!!
World Kindness Day, Saturday, November 13, 2021
At Noyes, we often talk about choosing to be kind and all the ways we can “fill someone’s bucket” by offering a compliment, a smile, or a hand. Tomorrow there’s an official day for showing and celebrating kindness and I hope we all participate. Here are some simple ideas to get our kindness juices flowing:
Write a positive note on a post it for someone or send a handwritten card
Call someone you haven’t talked to in a while and ask how they are doing
Compliment someone
Send a positive text to 5 of your contacts
Write a note on a receipt at a restaurant
Invite someone to join you for a fun activity
Offer to help someone who needs it
Bake something for someone
When I think about kindness, I often think of a particular Noyes parent who regularly leaves a kind note in a postcard when she wants to show her appreciation of something someone has said or done. It’s quite touching. Let’s all join her in spreading a little extra kindness in the world this weekend.
Supply Chain Challenges Affect School Lunches
We have experienced supply issues and this has impacted our plans for school lunch requiring substitutions to be made. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please consult our virtual school lunch menu for the most up-to-date information on what is available in the cafeteria.
