Learning with Miller's Littles
Happy December!
Enjoying reading outside on a warm December day!
It will probably be our last reading lesson outside in 2014.
It's a lot of fun to listen to guests share how fluent they read aloud.
our camp friendship owl Science unit
Miss Colleen, the Outdoor Recreational Coordinator at Camp Friendship, came to Room 2 to share her expertise of animals and bring the famous book Owl Moon to life. Owl Moon is a 1987 children's picture book by Jane Yolen, illustrated by John Schoenherr. The book won many awards, most notably being the Caldecott Medal for its illustrations, and has appeared on the show Reading Rainbow. We learned many facts about owls and their adaptations from Miss Colleen during our week long unit.
