From the Principal’s Desk

Good afternoon Shiloh Families,

This has been an exciting week of celebrations for our faculty and students. We celebrated Teacher's Appreciation Week with a special treat for teachers each day! I would like to extend a special thank you to our PTSA who recruited parent and community volunteers to serve as lunch monitors today so that our faculty members could have a duty free lunch. Thank you to all volunteers! Additionally, thank you PTSA for sponsoring our Food Truck Friday. Our collaborative efforts as a school community made this week extra special for our teachers!

We also had the pleasure of welcoming our Rising Sixth Graders to Shiloh Middle school this week. Our five elementary feeder schools visited and enjoyed performances from our Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Cheerleaders and JLC students. Our Student Ambassadors led them on a tour of the building and shared information about Shiloh PRIDE! Our 8th Graders began their week of celebrations with "The Path to Success" forum, which provided our students the opportunity to begin thinking about their future career paths. The 8th grade planning committee did a phenomenal job planning events that students will remember for a lifetime.

We are continuing with our District Assessments next week and ask that you encourage students to do their very best! As we quickly approach the end of our school year, please remind students that our expectations for their behavior and academic success remain high and we will finish strong! Please join us tonight at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds for the Relay for Life event. There will be food, fun, and games for all. You will see our Shiloh tent! Gwinnett County has the biggest event in the nation and we certainly want to show our Shiloh PRIDE!

Thank you for all you do to make Shiloh Middle School the best!

Your Proud Principal,

Dr. Williams

Cafeteria Charges

The last day to charge breakfast and lunch was April 30. Students must pay reduced or full amount for the remainder of the school year. If your child has a balance, please begin making payments to their account.

Gwinnett County Public Library

The local library is a great resource for a variety of things. In addition to offering the typical resources for reading and research, the library offers numerous workshops that students and parents can participate in. Take a look a the April brochures linked below to see if you find something that is interesting to you and your student.

Relay for Life

Historically, Gwinnett County has the biggest Relay for Life event in the country. This is a charitable event to raise funding for the American Cancer Society. The big event is May 10th and involves thousands of people and to put it simple is a lot of fun. We are looking for team members to help Shiloh make an impact in the great effort. Please let us know if you would like to join the fun. Also let us know if you are a cancer survivor.
Relay For Life

We would love to have some parents on our R4L team. Click to show your interest.
