Welcome back from Ed Tech!
Welcome back to school! Educational Technology is excited to support teachers and students through technology integration in the classroom. The Ed Tech Team provides professional learning for Schoology, ClassFlow, BrainPOP, Google Tools, literacy tools, iPad apps, and resources to help our students use tools for creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking. Helpful Chromebook Changes for 2017-18 School Year
New BrainPOP Features
Over the summer BrainPOP has added several new resources for teachers. These include
BrainPOP Classroom to monitor and individualize student learning,
content mapping, new ways to create
quizzes, and
games to support learning and coding. Please reach out to Lisa Lund, Senior Manager of Educational Technology at
Lisa_Lund@dpsk12.org to set-up your class, learn how to use the tools to differentiate and support students in learning of all content. Over the summer Lisa enrolled in the BrainPOP Certification program, and she is very excited to share with you and your students.
Schoology Corner
Our brand new Learning Management System (LMS) is live and helping teachers deliver content to students in better ways than ever! Schoology is a place for educators to collaborate with each other, deliver instruction digitally, and communicate with parents on a daily basis, with ease. Check out “Schoology Corner” in each of these newsletters this schoolyear for helpful information and check out what Schoology can do for you!
Who's New in Library Services?
Ed Tech welcomes two new faces to our sister team, Library Services.
Janet Damon comes to us from Amesse Elementary and joins the team as Library Services Specialist.
Suzi Tonini enriches our team as our new Collection Development Supervisor joining us from Isabella Bird Community School.
