Updates for the St. Stan's Community

Hello! Allow me to introduce myself...

My name is Robert (Bob) Vickman and I am thrilled to be the new Principal at St. Stanislaus Kostka Academy. The tradition and history of the St. Stan’s community is truly fascinating and something I am proud to be a part of. For the past 12 years, I have been a high school teacher in Catholic schools across three states: Wisconsin, Indiana, and Illinois. My most recent position was at Saint Ignatius College Prep where I was a Department Chair and teacher for the past four years. In the spring of 2020, I received my Masters degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Loyola University of Chicago.

Joining me on this journey is my wife, Renee, who has her PhD in cancer biology and conducts research for NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston. Together we have two rambunctious boys, Edward (5) and Theodore (1). Edward has expressed his excitement about being a 1st grader at St. Stan’s next year and, surprisingly, for his daddy to be his Principal. In that way, my life has come full circle as my own mother was also my elementary school principal when I was young. She and numerous others in my family have been wonderful educational role models for me to follow throughout my career.

As I learn more about the St. Stan’s community, I am excited by its potential and the prospects of what we can accomplish together. I have long believed that a mindset of good enough is often the enemy of great. As such, I will always seek out the best version of myself and of those with whom I work. I welcome your support in helping our school community provide an outstanding, faith-based education for children throughout the Chicago area. I hope that during my time at St. Stan’s, I can build upon its rich history and help it to become a true “Expressway to Excellence” for students, teachers, and families.

Parent Perception Survey

In order for me to learn as much about the St. Stan's community as I can, I ask that parents/guardians click here to complete this survey. Your responses will be valuable in helping me and the school leadership team evaluate the strengths and areas of growth for our educational, emotional, and spiritual programming.

2021 Summer Camp Experience

Thank you to Ms. Kim Riley and all of the St. Stan's staff who have put in many hours to make an enjoyable summer experience for our campers. The building is alive each and every day with both our own St. Stan's students and students from around the neighborhood.
