Flowers and Plants
Flowers are gorgeous. They are naturally beautiful! You may love to pick flowers and make a handmade bouquet out of the flowers, but do you know that flowers can be really dangerous.? Yea, you heard me right, flowers the stunning beautiful blossoms are dangerous! So are plants! I will be talking about different types of flowers and plants that are dangerous......be careful around them!
Giant Pitcher Plant
Giant pitcher plant, also known as the rat eating plant is a really dangerous plant. It is so big it can eat up a rat! This plant is discovered 5000 feet above the sea level on Mount Victoria in the Philippines. A series of sticky, downward ribs makes it nearly impossible for the trapped prey to escape. The plant's 30 centimetre diameter is large enough to trap unlucky rodents, for example rats.
Ricinus Communis (Castor Bean Plant)
Ricinus Communis is most likely to be grown in your backyard. Castor bean plants can also be purchased at stores because the whole plant doesn't have poison in it only the seeds do. So once the seeds are removed, the ricin (poison) is removed.
Western Water Hemlock
The western hemlock is the most violently toxic plant in North America. This plant contains cicutoxin, which wreaks havoc on the central nervous system causing grand-mal seizures, which includes loss of consciousness and violent muscle contractions. which leads to death, only if its ingested. This plant can kill people easily.
White Snakeroot
White snakeroot is the plant that killed a presidents mother. This plant killed Abraham Lincoln's mother Nancy Hanks. This whole plant is made up of tremetol, an unsaturated alcohol that can cause muscle tremors in livestock before killing them. Nowadays white snakeroot still grows wild, but it is controlled more in the agriculture.
Monkshood
The best plant to kill a dinner guest is monkshood. All you need to do is chop up the roots and make stew. This vibrant colored plant, most found in backyards is loaded with poisonous alkaloid aconite, which causes asphyxiation. Whoever has this plant in their garden, should wear gloves when handling.
Common Bladderwort
The most gruesome killer. This aquatic carnivore relies on a lot of submerged bladders to capture prey such as tad poles and also crustaceans. For example this is what may happen. An unexpected passerby will brush against a bristle-trigger, causing the bladders to spring open and capture it. Once this gets inside, the victim dies of suffocation or starvation then decays into a liquid that will soon be sucked by cells on the wall of the bladder.
Venus Flytrap
Now you may have heard of this plant right, well I may even teach you more information. This plant has the ability to clamp shut in half a second. To react an insect needs to brush against two of the fly traps hair consecutively for it to react. Once this plant gets touched, an insect may be in great danger.
The Angel Trumpet
Wow angel trumpet, hmmmmm seems like such a sweet name. DON'T FALL FOR IT! This plant is more likely to turn a person into a zombie! Yea, a zombie! This droopy plant contains a lot of toxins that include atropine, hyoscyamine, and scopolamine. Scopolamine can be absorbed through the skin and mucous membranes, allowing criminals to simply blow the powder in a person's face. There is a horror story about a man moving all of his possessions out of his house and into the hands of a robber, and he doesn't remember anything!
Conclusion
I hope you have learned something, especially to be careful around plants. They may seem all stunning, gorgeous and delicate, but do not fall for it. I'm not trying to say that all plants are dangerous, all i'm trying to say is that be careful around plants and flowers. Thanks for taking the time and actually reading this, thank you
