Attendance

In order for you child to receive their attendance mark for the day, they must attend a live meeting (eg. Zoom), submit work, log-in to a learning platform that is being used in their class, email or call their teacher, or interact with another staff member--each day!


The best thing for your student is for them to actively engage in their class meetings and complete all assignments just like they would if they were at school in person. If you have any questions about attendance, please call the office at 707-890-3935 or communicate with your teacher.

In you still need a Chromebook

If you still need a Chromebook, please come by the office between 8am-4pm.


In order to systematically update Chromebooks, each year the current 1st and 5th grade students will turn in their current Chromebook to receive a brand new one. If you have not yet traded yours in, please come to the office and do so.

School Site Council (SSC)

The Helen Lehman School Site Council (SSC) is now accepting nominations for parent members on the SSC. This is a two-year term: August 2020--May 2021 and August 2021--May 2022.

Training will be provided and no experience is necessary. This is an excellent opportunity to let your voice be heard and to affect change here at our school.
The School Site Council serves the students and the school by:
  • developing the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) with teachers and support staff;
  • implementing and monitoring the SPSA;
  • evaluating the SPSA to see if SPSA goals are met

Parent members of the SSC are expected to:
  • attend the meetings held at 2:30pm on the following dates via Zoom (if a date after the first does not work, we can accommodate a change)
    • Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 2:30
    • Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 2:30
    • Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 2:30
    • Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2:30
    • Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 2:30
  • learn about the SPSA through trainings and information shared at SSC meetings;
  • actively participate in SSC responsibilities

English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC)

ELAC is a parent group that helps make decisions on the programs and services for English Language Learners.


Our first meeting is September 24th at 2:30 pm via Zoom. If you are interested in coming to this drop-in meeting, please email me at jcooper@srcs.k12.ca.us or call the office at 707-890-3935. Please join us. At this meeting, we will elect our president, vice president, secretary, and DELAC representative.

Main Office Closed to the Public

Unfortunately, our Main Office is closed to the public. This is because the entire SRCS School District has decided to close all Main Offices to the public due to the increase in cases of COVID-19 in Sonoma County and our position on the "watch list." We understand how challenging this is for many of you, but please know that we are here to support you via phone and/or email.


As our staff continues to support our families I am excited to see many of you becoming more tech-savvy! Thank you for trying so hard to stay connected.

iPad Use for Support

There are iPads available outside of our Main Office, starting on Monday August 17th, that can help you with the online meal application, access to the district website, and phone access for parent use. We cannot help anyone inside the office right now due to COVID-19.

Grab-and-Go Meal Bags are distributed from 11:00am - 1:00pm

  • 5 breakfasts/5 lunches

  • For enrolled students

  • Pickup once a week

  • Pick up meals at any location

Mondays/lunes:

Piner High (1700 Fulton Rd)

Tuesdays/martes:

Monroe Elementary (2567 Marlow Rd)

Wednesdays/miércoles:

Barcodes speed up meal service like a library card!

Letters and emails with a unique barcode will be sent out for each enrolled student.

  • Bring your barcode letter or email for each enrolled student

  • Scan each barcode

  • Take your meals home!

If a student does not have a barcode, CNS staff will work with the household at the meal distribution site to serve the enrolled students.
