A Message from the Administrator
Greetings MCS Families,
Our Winter Showcase is a time for our community to see the exciting things that are happening at MCS. We will have classroom displays, the chance to go on a virtual field trip with our new Google Expedition Kits, a performance by our Merry Missives, and a chili dinner that will support our Marimba Club and our students going to MOSS. You will also have the opportunity of walking through classrooms that your child may be in next year.
Feel free to invite any friends and/or family that may be interested in MCS. I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday evening!
Sincerely,
Tony Bonuccelli
Administrator, Moscow Charter School

Supermoon viewing for Middle Schoolers ONLY
January 31st will bring an event that has not happened in 150 years! There will be a be a blue moon, supermoon, and total lunar eclipse. A blue moon is 2 full moons in one calendar month, a super moon means the moon is closest to the Earth in it's rotation and we know what a lunar eclipse is!
Mr. Collins and Ms. Hoffmeister will be hosting a viewing here at the school at 5:30 am on the 31st for the middle school students and teachers. We will be cooking breakfast for the students that day as well.

Polar Walk 2018
This is a fun event that helps kids and parents overcome the challenges of active travel in the winter time by bundling up and walking to school. It is unique to Moscow and the Safe Routes to School program. This event is called the “Polar Walk” not only because it’s chilly in February but also to help raise awareness of the environmental impact of CO2 emissions from cars and it’s effect on the polar ice caps.
Come walk with us on this day!
