Summer 2014 Session 1 - Week 3
Dear CTY Families,
These three weeks have flown by. During first session our students’ knowledge of the world has soared to new heights. Photographs from our first Open House are evidence of the dynamic experiential learning that has taken place over these three weeks.
While we live in an age in which technology puts the world at our fingertips, these three weeks have reminded me how much deep learning can happen as a collective. I have learned to be a better educator through my countless exchanges with colleagues, families, and students during this session. Observing students collaborating on so many levels, I feel assured that this experience has been valuable to all of them as well. We are confident that students will enter their next school year with refined perspectives on the subjects they explored at CTY.
On behalf of the whole staff, I thank you for your partnership in making this inaugural New York City CTY program a success. You are now and forever a part of the greater CTY community, and we hope the experience has inspired you to pursue more opportunities with us in the future.
