The SoRoCo Weekly Newsletter
September 11, 2016
Dear Team,
That's right, folks! We have not had one single substitute so far this school year. We can not express enough gratitude to our teaching staff for their dedication to our students. What a difference it makes to our students when they can rely on their teachers to support them every single day. Consistency is arguably the most important factor when it comes to building trust, and trust is critical for continuing to establish positive relationships. Particularly with our new four-day work week, it is extra important to minimize absences and have everybody here (students, too!), so we can keep driving forward.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! And let's see how long we can keep the trend going...

Soroco Coaches Transform Our Students' Lives
This week, we highlight MS Volleyball Coach, Alisha Sanchez.
This year, Coach Sanchez is striving to create a tradition of excellence for our Middle School volleyball program, both on and off the court... and finish the season with more wins than losses. We are already off to a great start!
District-Wide PLC Day - Friday 9/9
We worked on vertical alignment of K-12 writing expectations.
Scholarship PIG = BIG Money $
Our FFA Program originally paid $500 for this pig, giving Katelyn and Grace Olinger the responsibility of raising it. Bar A Ranch recently purchased this pig for $5,200. We will use the proceeds of this sale to offer scholarships this spring to senior FFA members.

A Message from the Athletic Director
Notable victories this week include a dominating win for the High School football team over Sanford with a final score of 62 - 28. We are also very proud of our Middle School volleyball team for sweeping our rival Steamboat Springs Middle School at the C, B, and A levels. Way to make a statement, ladies!
