Family Information
Hello Mustangs,
First and foremost, a very Happy Mother's Day to each of our mothers and the important women in our children's lives! All of you bring joy to your child and today is a day to celebrate YOU as caregiver, professional, and the glue of the family!
You may have seen the Innovation Bus parked outside of Door #1 at the end of last week (check out some pictures below)! All students will be able to visit the bus this week and enjoy a great experience!
Girls on the Run has again been alive and well at Millridge thanks to the leadership of Mrs. Gamiere and a number of members or our Mustang staff. While it may look a bit different this year, the girls have been motivated and are enjoying their time together. See below for more details. Of special note is their help with organizing our Lost and Found - check out the link below for itemized pictures. Please following the instructions to claim your child's lost item.
As we approach the end of the year, I'm thankful that our state testing has concluded, but even more appreciative of the students who put forth a great effort to show what they know. We appreciate each of our third, fourth and fifth grade students!
Enjoy the day and week ahead,
Craig Caroff
We appreciate our PTG!
A special shout out to Mrs. Rininger and Mrs. Rigelsky for their hard work, as well as other volunteers who organized this great week of celebration!
Know that WE APPRECIATE YOU!!

Girls on the Run
5th grade Girls on the Run have been meeting after school twice a week since the middle of March to learn more about positive self-talk, exploring emotions, having empathy, being a friend and choosing their friends, communicating with others and working as a team. Throughout their learning, they have been training to run a 5k. In this picture the girls ran some of the farthest distance they have gone so far. They set a goal to run for 30 minutes and many of the girls were able to reach 2 miles! The 5k race will be Saturday, May 15 and we know they will be ready!
Must register by Sunday, May 9th at midnight.

Last Day Picnic Details
- The HH Fire Department will again be grilling hot dogs! All will be wearing masks and wearing gloves while handling the food.
- Students will be eating outside on the lawn with their class facing Millridge Road (or inside their classrooms if there is inclimate weather).
- All food will be prepacked - students will receive their lunch in whole and will not be taking any food from open trays.
- Students will be masked in line while obtaining their lunch.
- Students will also receive a popsicle thanks to our PTG. Adults passing out popsicles to classes will be masked and wearing gloves.
Unfortunately, due to safety protocols in place this year, parents and students learning remotely in grades K-4 will not be able to attend this event. We truly apologize, but wish to maintain and respect safety protocols in place this year.
The only exception to this statement is for our 5th grade students who are learning remotely. As it is their last year at Millridge and due to the very small number of remote learners in this grade level, we feel we can accommodate each student should they wish to attend the picnic and feel it is the right thing to do as they leave Millridge and head to the middle school.
We hope that next year looks different for all of us and that we can bring back parents and all students attending this Millridge tradition. Thank you for your understanding.
Fifth Grade Clap-Out
Safety protocols in place:
- Students in grades K-4 will be allowed to line our hallways, but wearing masks at all times.
- Students will sanitize their hands before and after the clap out.
- Students and staff will be reminded they can clap, but to avoid fist bumps and high fives.
- TWO parents/family members of Fifth Grade students will be permitted to attend this event. All family members will remain outside on the grass near the sidewalk on both sides of Millridge Road, but will not be permitted to enter the building.
Signs will be posted where we are asking family members or friends to stand on Millridge Road for the parade route.
Families are encouraged to make signs, cheer and clap their fifth graders on to the middle school!

A MESSAGE FROM MRS. GAMIERE:
Hi families,
Please continue to stay in touch with any support you and your child may need during the school year, whether in person or remote learning. You can reach out to your teacher or myself and let us know any difficulties we can help with. We know that this is still a school year that none of us have ever experienced with challenges that are still being faced daily. Please reach out and I can help figure out the support we can provide.
