South Mountain WORKS Coalition
Updates and annoucements
Dear Coalition Members and Friends
Thank you for attending our Coalition meeting earlier this week. Below are some community events and announcement we would like to share
Updates on our prevention campaigns
Our billboard campaign launched in March in collaboration with the HEAAL Coalition has been very successful and the 7 billboards have reached over 1 million views! The billboards encouraged community members to lock it up and aims at reducing youth access to alcohol and prescription drugs.
The Coalition in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Phoenix Police Department (South Mountain Precinct) is actively promoting the Rx Take Back event on April 30th from 10a-2pm at the Target on Baseline and 24th street. Anyone can anonymously drop off they unused of expired prescriptions (no needles or syringes). Over 10,700 community residents will receive reminders through a direct mailing campaign thanks the SM WORKS. We hope this event will be the most successful to date.
