Dear Parents,
The school year is off to a great start! I am pleased with the work our staff and students have done this week to establish a successful start to the year. We have already seen evidence of our school collective engage in Leading by Learning, Embracing Diversity, Achieving Excellence, and Developing Citizenship. There will be transitions in the coming weeks as our district moves into the hybrid model with some students remaining in a digital environment while others receive face-to-face instruction. Parents should have received a verification letter from the district that includes the parent’s selection for mode of instruction this year (digital or face-to-face). Please call the front desk or email grade level administrator if you have questions or if you did not receive your verification letter.

As we move through these transitional phases of 100% digital to a hybrid of both digital and in-person instruction, we will work to provide the most updated communication throughout the process as such adjustments are likely to impact our digital model, bell schedule, and student schedules. Please continue to stay engaged as we navigate this school year. Regardless of the changes, know that our commitment to provide our students with the highest quality has not and will not waiver. We thank you in advance for your patience and flexibility!
Device Distribution
There may have been some miscommunication about device pickup, and we would like to clear up any confusion. If you are in need of a device for your child, please call the school at (678)226-7100 in order to be placed on our waiting list. If you have already reached out to us, we are working through our list and there is no need for further action at this time. More devices are becoming available every day. Please do not come to Moore Middle School to pick up a device until you receive communication from the school stating that your device is ready for pickup. It is very important that this process is followed to ensure that we are able to provide support to every student in need. We thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times.

Information about Breakfast/Lunch Pickup
The school breakfast/lunch plans for Moore Middle provide curbside pick-up each day from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm in the bus lane, Monday – Thursday. Thursday’s pick-up will include meals for both Thursday and Friday. Students will need their Student ID cards that were mailed to you last week. This allows us to process and properly account for each meal. Please contact the school if you did not receive a Student ID card through the mail. The student does not need to be present to receive a meal. A Parent/Guardian may pick up a meal for their child but they must have the Student ID card in order to validate their child’s enrollment and eligibility. Students will be charged for their meals based on their current eligibility of Free, Reduced, or Full Pay. There will be no charging of meals and there will be no alternate meals provided to those without method of payment.
In order to limit direct contact, we strongly encourage parents to add money to their child’s account via MyPaymentsPlus. However, we will still accept cash payment if needed. If you need to do a cash payment, please limit bills to $5.00 or less or the exact amount needed for lunch. We encourage all families to apply for free/reduced lunch by clicking on the link below. A new application must be completed each year. The status does not carry over from last year.
