This week in Language Arts...
Language Arts - This week we have been biographers. Many students have finished their rough drafts and are now creating their newspapers. When complete we they will have a Revolutionary War newspaper containing the biography, an opinion piece / editorial article (we will write it next week), and 3 time-period appropriate ads. We have been busy writing! Please do a check of your child's Genre Bingo Card. We are nearing the halfway point of the quarter and 5 books should be recorded by the end. Once again, please remind your child to follow the Bingo Rules found on the back of the card. Points are taken off, for example, if the title is not underlined. Next week, we are not having a new Mentor Sentence. Therefore, no Mentor Quiz to prepare for. However, we will have Wordly Wise Lesson 9 and that quiz will be on Friday.
