Friendship
Scout, Dill and Jem were always there for each other whenever one of them needed someone to be there. They always stuck together and helped each other out with things. Below are some examples of their friendship in the book.
Scout Finch
Scout and Dill have always been good friends and hung out a lot.
Jem
Dill and Jem became close friends and did everything together.
Dill
Dill would come back for the summer and would hang out with Jem and Scout. They would have great times together.
Growing Up
Jem has grown up throughout the book tremendously. Jem turned out to be a young gentleman that defended his family and stood up for his father, Atticus, during the Scottsboro Trials. He also stood up for his little sister, Scout, and helped her whenever she needed him.
Bravery/Courage
Mrs. Dubose
Mrs. Dubose had a severe addiction to morphine. She had the courage to get over her addiction, but sadly died shortly after.
Arthur (Boo) Radley
Arthur Radley saved Scout from getting stabbed by Bob Ewell. He was brave enough to kill Bob to save Scout's life.
Atticus
Atticus was brave enough to defend Tom Robinson in the Scottsboro Trials. Even though Tom was black, everybody hated him because of that.
