OCS WEEKLY UPDATE
September 18th, 2023
5:30-6:45
BACK TO SCHOOL EDITION!
Dear Families,
First, we have a few new staff members. Thereasa Libby is teaching Grade 6. Megan Walsh is teaching Grade 5. Kyle Tuneburg is teaching physical education! Kalvin Page is an Educational Technician. Rebecca Schaff is our Instructional Coach. We are so excited to have them part of our OCS Team. Our district is still looking for a music teacher who would be responsible for teaching at W. Paris (2 days), Hebron (2 days), and Otisfield (1). If you know someone who is certified and interested, direct them to our online district job postings.
Second, we have our Open House coming up THIS Wednesday. We will meet in the gym at 5:30 for some brief announcements and then we will offer some time to visit teachers in their classrooms. We are so excited to have you come and visit us.
Finally, we are seeing an uptick in the "Return to School" sicknesses. Please make sure your students are practicing safe hygiene and if your child is sick, please keep them home until your child is feeling better.
We appreciate our support from our OCS families and community.
Have a great rest of your week! If you need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out. We will do our best to support you.

A huge thank you to the Otisfield Fire Department and the OCS Community for working together to secure lots of school supplies for our students. As you know school supplies are necessary AND can be a financial burden on families so the support we received is extremely valued by our staff and students. A special shout out to Jeni Jordan for organizing this effort. Feeling grateful at OCS!
Thank you to Barbara Maguire and her mother for making a HOUSE hat for EVERY student. Yes, I did just say EVERY student. That is a lot of time and effort to create these functionable and fashionable hats! THANKS SO MUCH, BARBARA!
Speaking of Houses.....
