The Great Schism

The similarities in the east-west schism are very few, the only similarity I found was that they both teach the same thing just in different ways and languages.
There are definitely more differences than similarities dealing with this issue. One of them was that on the west, catholic side they weren't allowed to marry, and another was that on the east side the emperor was closet to god instead of the pope.
