Technology Tips

Parenting children in the 21st century provides many challenges, especially when it comes to technology and social media. In an effort to partner with parents and guardians, we are adding a special section to our newsletter for the next several months titled "Technology Tips". In this section, we will post helpful information and resources for parents regarding technology and social media. Additionally, we will host a few parent nights in the coming months to help educate all parents and guardians about how best to monitor children and technology use.

The resource this month comes from an organization called National Online Safety. This resource focuses on a very popular and common social media application called YouTube. Check it out below!

Reminder - Student Cell Phone Policy at AMS

We reminded students this week of our student cell phone policy at AMS. This can also be found on page 46 of the student/parent handbook (located HERE).

If a student brings a personal wireless communication devices (including cell phones AND smart watches) to school it must be turned off during school hours and kept in a student's backpack. Students who bring these devices to school assume all risks of damage, theft, loss, or misuse of the device. Violation of this policy results in disciplinary action as outlined in the handbook.

If you need to communicate with your child during the school day, please call the school office and leave a message for them with one of our office staff members.
