Proctor Elementary
Announcements, Virtual Assembly, and Goodbyes! May 29, 2020
Goodbye from Principal Ghereben
Greetings Proctor Community,
I am so proud of all our students, families and staff who have worked so hard these past few months while sheltering in place.
Though I am sad at how this year is ending, especially for our 5th graders, I cannot tell you how proud I am of all of you! You have lead the way in learning and adapting to a world that often seems completely out of our control. Thank you for your patience and perseverance! I am so proud to be your principal!!
I know many of you are still wondering about and trying to plan for the next school, but as of now we still do not have any confirmation about how the 2020-2021 school year will begin. As we receive guidance and directions from the state and county, CVUSD will communicate to our school communities the plan for the next school year.

Virtual School Assembly, May 29, 2020
We Bid You Farewell Proctor Staff!
Goodbye Mr. Silzle!
Happy Retirement Ms. Kristy
Farewell Iris Beltran, Proctor Speech Therapist
Thank You to our Awesome Custodian Team!
Thank you Kathy Cook, Parent Volunteer of the Year!
Kathy, the Proctor Staff has chosen you as our 5th Grade Parent Volunteer of the year! Normally we would acknowledge you in person at our end of the year assembly in May, but Covid made us change our plans.
You have given many years of service to Proctor as a parent volunteer, and as the Battle of the Books Coordinator. We honor you for all that you do and continue to do now that you are serving as one of our RTI Instructional Aides. Thank You!
Did you pick up your student's belongings this week?
One last chance on Tuesday, June 2nd!
When?
Next week, Tuesday, June 2nd, from 11:00am - 2:00pm.
Please report to the office to retrieve your student's belongings. Your child's report card will also be given on this day if you have not received it.
Please email Hildan Kwan or myself of you have any questions
- The Library, the counselor's room, and staff room is still under renovation. Painting is finished, but we are still waiting for the new flooring to arrive and be installed.
- Rooms 9 - 13, and are finished. We are awaiting the short-throw projector installation, and cleaning for teachers to be able to move in before the fall.
- The Cafeteria has been painted, and new flooring has been installed. HVAC is now working on installing new heating and cooling. I will be working with the tech department to order a new automatic screen, sound system, and a ceiling mounted projector (using PTA funds just donated).
- As you can see most of the school has been painted. This continues to be a work in progress, and will continue throughout the summer.
- I will communicate additional Measure G updates when we return in the fall, what ever model that may be.
