Student Laptop Distribution

Students will be expected to bring a laptop to school when we return to hybrid instruction.

Great news - we have received the additional order of laptops we were waiting for. Students who were sharing devices per the survey were contacted to come in Tuesday and Thursday of this week between 8 am and 3 pm to pick up a laptop. The barcodes for the computers are pre-scanned so ONLY the students who received a phone call can come in this week.

NEXT WEEK - Any student who does not have a SMCPS laptop and would like to pick-up a laptop may do so on Wednesday, October 21, Thursday, October 22 or Friday, October 23 between 8 am and 3 pm. Remember to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Pick-up will take place in the main lobby.

If a student is unable to pick-up a laptop next week, do not worry. The laptop will be given to the student during his/her first scheduled class at Chopticon when the student returns to school.

If you haven't already picked up your textbooks, you may do so during those days and times.

ATHLETIC EVENTS - COVID-19 Spectator Policy for Athletic Events

Here is the schedule for the Spring scrimmages that start on October 12.

We are excited to bring our Braves back to competition season. The following Covid 19 procedures are in place for a safe spring athletic scrimmage season. Carefully read the Athletic Event procedures below.

  • Only parent(s)/guardian(s) are permitted at the athletic spring events.
  • Baseball, Softball, Tennis and Lacrosse can have a max of 2 parents/guardians per student athlete. Track will be allowed 1 parent per student athlete.
  • Parent/guardian names must be sent to the Athletic Director prior to each event. The guest names will then be added to the event spectator list.
  • Names not on the event spectator list will not be allowed to enter the event. This applies to home and away events.
  • Students and siblings are not permitted to attend athletic events at this time.
  • All spectators (parent(s)/guardian(s)) must wear a Face Covering and follow Social Distancing guidelines when arriving, attending, and departing the event (non-negotiable).
  • Failure to comply with any policy will result in removal from the event.
