Beverly Slifer – 3rd Grade Teacher

I am excited to be a part of the Chavez Community. This is my third year teaching at Chavez Elementary and each year keeps getting better! It’s thrilling to see students learn and grow. Being an educator is a most rewarding journey in life as I have the privilege of guiding and shaping young minds. Teaching is a passion for me and I am thankful to have the opportunity to make a positive difference for my students. I love helping students realize and achieve their full potential. This school year has been outstanding and our students have worked so hard! Did you hear? Third grade ROCKS!!!

Originally from California, I have lived in Little Elm since 2001. I graduated from TWU with a teaching degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and plan to return next year to earn a Master’s in Education. As for personal time, I enjoy painting, creating pottery, reading, gardening, boating, and biking. I love spending time with friends and family and look forward to a fun-filled summer with a few trips to the beach! Even though the Little Elm park is currently part of the lake, we have lots of fun spending time there during the summer and look forward to even more new additions to our town.

Our chances were slim that Field Day would not be rained out last week. We are so thankful that we were able to complete Field Day on both Thursday and Friday. Coach Johnson and his crew had Plan A, B & C ready to go if needed. We appreciate all of his work to make it a great day for our students. Thank you parents for coming out and supporting our students.
