HPES Update
3/23/2020
Staff,
I hope you are doing well. I have a few updates for you… and will have more after my zoom meeting this afternoon with Dr. Ohare. Please make sure to check your email. Missing all of you, stay healthy!

Staff on Campus:
- Mr. Olivas and I will be alternating days to let staff in to gather your supplies and resources from your classroom. We are only allowing 2-4 members in at a time, so that we can adhere to the 10 limit guidelines. We have to take into account ourselves, as well as any other district personnel on campus. This is strictly to pick up materials, as we are not currently allowed to work from campus.
- Today and Wednesday are my days (I have staff scheduled throughout today). If you would like to schedule a time with me for Wednesday, text me at 956.587.1498.
- Mr. Olivas is scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday this week. If you would like to schedule a time on those dates, please text him at 512.767.3556.
Neighborhood Drive:
- Some of you have reached out asking about doing a neighborhood drive (essentially driving around the neighborhood, windows down, honking and waving at the students). We will have to follow the social distancing guidelines, and follow each other’s vehicles as we drive around the neighborhoods that feed into our campus. We can meet in the parking lot at 9:00 am tomorrow. This is NOT mandatory, if you would like to participate, please meet in the parking lot at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. I will ask Mima to post on it our campus Facebook today.
- Feel free to decorate your car or not. :)
Facebook announcement
HPES families, all of us miss our sweet bulldogs! Tomorrow we will be doing a car parade with signs and decorated cars through Highland Park neighborhood starting around 9:00 a.m. We hope we can see you on your porches waving hi as we drive by! If you don’t live in the neighborhood, please park your vehicle down Kingston Lacy Blvd at Mirror Lake Park located on 1501 Kingston Lacy Blvd, Pflugerville, TX 78660. We will also stream live on our school Facebook page. Can’t wait to see you! Bulldogs Woof!
Technology:
- District is making arrangements to provide laptops for staff to use during the district closure, if you do not have a reliable computer at home.
- In order to accomplish this, district will be setting up checkout locations todat, Monday, March 23rd from 1:00- 4:00 p.m. Teachers and instructional staff from our campus will pick up laptops requested at Hendrickson. Office and operational staff will pick up from SSRV. The plan is to check out the laptops from the student device carts.
- It is extremely important that staff do not take devices from the carts on any campus.
- Here is the link to the check out form: https://forms.gle/gF6wrg55iSJ2cbQG8 (you will need to use your District Google account, email address and password, to access)
