HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 1 Week 3 - 21 February 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians
Thanks again to everyone for another really successful week at Holy Rosary. I have been blown away at how quickly our students have settled into this year and I have loved my time spent in classrooms this week. Students have already started working in differentiated groups and with each new year our whole school routines become more ingrained. From a highly entertaining and engaging Year 1 Numeracy mat session on numbers to 100, to Bridge construction in Technology with the Year 3s and a Readers Theatre activity group in Year 5, there have been lots of happy, enthusiastic and engaged students throughout our school.
Work has begun on the Year 5D classroom and the room should be finished, cleaned and set up by 3pm next Friday. Again, thanks for your patience and we will continue to give you as much info as we can if there are disruptions.
Finally, Fred popped in again on Wednesday to the delight of many students and parents. It was great to see so many happy faces and I am pretty sure Fred enjoyed all the cuddles. There have been a few students who were a little hesitant at first, but were very pleased with themselves as they got a little closer and started to feel more comfortable. Thanks to the parents who gave me warning if their child was a little anxious, this just helped to make sure nobody was upset!
Have a great weekend and I look forward to another great week!

P & F NEWS
We Love our Class Reps!
Our Holy Rosary Community (aka P&F) have already been very active this year with lots of new members and a productive first meeting where Mr T was slightly outnumbered!
Family Fun Night
We are currently working on our Family Fun Night on Friday 20th March which will bring food trucks, wine tasting, music, dancing, games and more!
As a P&F we believe that many hands make light work, communication is key and let’s have fun while doing it!
We recommend two reps for every class, which means the load can be shared.
We still need Reps for the following classes.
If you’re interested, speak to your teacher. We’d love to have you on board!
DADS AND KIDS CAMPOUT
This year the Dads and Kids Campout will be held at the school on Saturday 14th March.
The event that has been held at the school for many years and allows dads to spend quality time with their children whilst also providing dads an unique opportunity to socialise with one another. The event is run by the dads from school and this year we are looking for a new group of dads to take an active role in running the event so that we can have a smooth transition and ensure that the tradition continues at Holy Rosary. So if you are interested if getting involved in helping out please get in touch with Nathan Byrne (firstname.lastname@example.org or 0419629090). Not a lot of work is involved and its very rewarding once you see how much fun everyone has.
Please see the attached flyer for further information and forms need to completed and returned to school with money no later than Tuesday 10th March.
