Anna ISD Bond Results
The Anna community passed the Anna ISD bond Proposition A on Tuesday. This proposition is for $793,735,000 and includes four new elementary schools (750 students each), two new middle schools (850 students each), expansion #2 at Anna High School, high school #2 (2,200 students), a new administration facility, district service center, off-site roads and utilities, and new land purchases for additional schools. We will begin construction on elementary #5 in 2023 with plans to open the 2024-2025 school year. Anna ISD plans to open at least one campus or structure annually through 2030.
Proposition B for the district-wide athletic complex was not approved. This structure was not planned to be built until 2028, so we have some time to go back to the facilities committee and board of trustees to determine the next steps.
Coyote Salutes
Mindi Vandagriff
Mindi Vandagriff was an integral part of helping get our new Volunteer Program up and running. This included supporting 200-300 new volunteers with background checks, and badges, creating the website and communicating.
Meagan Sweeney, Kimberly Ruiz-Demaree, Kimberly Bert, Susan Williams
This group of women was recognized for their diligent work in the business department. In payroll and benefits, they have to have hard conversations at times, explaining to a disappointed employee why that extra duty payment they were counting on wasn’t on their paycheck this time or counseling a grieving widow on her next steps to take. The ladies in purchasing and accounts payable take a need from a desperate phone call, to requisition, to check at a moment's notice. They not only make sure district needs are met but also anticipate unmet needs. They handle all of these situations with grace and compassion. District administrators say these four ladies are the soldiers that keep AISD running. There really is nothing that the district does that isn’t supported by them in one way or another. Anna ISD does its job well because they do their jobs well.
Ana Gonzalez
Ana Gonzalez was recognized for always going above and beyond. Team members say she is an amazing teacher who teaches rigorous AP science courses and cannot say no to anything she is asked to do. Outside of the classroom she helps with Beta Club, is the Student Council sponsor, is head of the prom committee, and helps coordinate senior events and Clash of Classes. She has been a part of this district for 12 years and is such a valuable asset to our students and staff as she always works hard to make this a great district for students to be a part of.
April Key
April Key was recognized for going above and beyond daily for the students she works with, for her team, and for the campus as a whole. Team members say April seeks out tools to best serve her students and seeks out ways to boost team morale. She is described as an asset to Anna ISD and deserves to be recognized for her positive outlook, encouraging smile, and determination to make school a positive experience for everyone.

"INSTILL VALUES" is part of the Anna ISD mission. Quality character is modeled, instilled, and expected throughout a student's entire Coyote career. Countless people from outside our community continually go out of their way to sing the praises of the values and quality character they witness in Anna's students. I 💜 AISD because instilling values and quality character is a recognized tradition in Anna." -Melane Woodbury, Special Events and Marketing Specialist
