5th Grade presents "THE TEMPEST"
Cast delivers creativity, communication and collaboration!
Take a Bow!
Mrs. Dumont and her students studied and performed Shakespeare's The Tempest. The classroom became a tropical paradise with a giant canvas of palm trees, and students transformed themselves into characters with bright costumes and makeup.
The students tackled the challenging Elizabethan English and each student executed their role. The students worked behind the stage to make sure they made their cues and costume changes. The blue crab added a flare of humor between each scene that the younger students enjoyed.
The audience couldn't help but sway along to the Beatles music that added a nice modern touch to the play. As the cast sailed off the stage to the Beatles tune Yellow Submarine the audience erupted in applause. It was apparent that students in this class are building competencies in the Global Outcomes of Creativity, Communication, and Collaboration.
Thank you for providing this opportunity for our Estes Park School District Community!
