Good afternoon Stoller families,
It has been great coming back from the break and seeing all of our students back in school. I hope all of you got to rest and have some quality family time.
Over the break, as I am sure some of you have noticed, we had a door installed that leads directly into the main office. All visitors must use this door to come into the building during school hours. If you have a meeting with a teacher, please wait in the office and they will be called to come get you.
Additionally, we have moved the registrar and health room to the main office area. Any updates to your registration or any new registrations will now be handled in the front office. This allows us to keep all visitors in one area.
I am also happy to announce that we have been assigned a building monitor for our school, Jon Waldum. He will be monitoring the doors that lead to the portables as well as other areas throughout the campus.
I enjoyed my break and having time to reflect on the events that happened right up until then. I am very happy and proud to work for such an amazing community. Your support through it all was incredible and much appreciated. Our teachers and staff felt it as well. Thank you all again.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Veronica Galvan
Principal
Immunizations: Exclusion Day! - Important Please Read
Exclusion Day – Wednesday, February 20, 2019
Please note your child’s updated immunization status or exemptions must be completed and returned to the school by Tuesday, February 19, 2019. All students with incomplete vaccine records will be excluded from school starting Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
All 7th graders must receive a Tdap booster vaccine within the last couple of years.
Please note, you have already received a letter if your child’s immunization records are incomplete. If you have not received a letter, your child’s immunizations are up-to-date, and no further action is required on your part. Parents can view immunization records in their ParentVue accounts at any time.
You need to complete one of the following actions prior to February 20th if you received a letter in the mail regarding immunizations.
- If your child has received the vaccines, turn in the documentation with the dates to the school office.
- If you want a nonmedical exemption for your child, complete the required education regarding immunizations and return the certificate to the school office. The module can be found at www.healthoregon.org/vaccineexemption.

Chromebook Insurance
Last Reminder...
Some students have not paid the yearly $20 fee for Chromebook insurance. Students are starting to have breakage issues with Chromebooks. If your child’s Chromebook breaks and needs repair, you can still pay the $20 insurance to avoid a first-time repair charge. Second and third repair issues will still be charged accordingly. To check if you paid via the online payment system at the beginning of the school year, log into your account and click on the purchase history button. You should see a payment for “Chromebook insurance”. Please send a $20 check to the Main Office to pay your child's Chromebook insurance. New payments for this charge via the online payment system are not accepted at this time. Thank you.

After-School Activity Opportunities
When the weather gets snowy or icy, school schedules may be affected. The District generally posts the announcement of delayed school opening or school closure by 5:15 a.m. All Portland Metro area media outlets announce the information on TV newscasts and online.
The District makes decisions based on the ability to operate school buses safely; the ability for students and parents to get to school safely, and the ability for employees to get to work safely and on time. The decision that is made will be for the entire District. As always, parents may choose to make different decisions based on their particular location.
The District will notify parents and staff via SchoolMessenger with a Non-School Hours Emergency message. Please manage your communication preferences in SchoolMessenger InfoCenter.
