8th grade Career Day

The counseling department is requesting help in recruiting speakers for our annual Career Day.

Each year Frankford Middle School hosts Career Day for our 8th graders. Speakers from the community visit our campus and discuss a wide variety of careers. Students love hearing about the different aspects of the various careers.

We need help in recruiting speakers for Career Day 2015! J

If you're interested or have a spouse, friend, or relative that would be willing and able to speak to our 8th graders about his/her career on the morning of Friday, November 13, 2015, please let me know. The guest speaker would need to be available from approximately 8:00 to 11:00 on Friday, November 13th. The day is organized into four sessions where the speaker remains in one classroom, and the students rotate through. The guest would speak to four classroom-size groups of students.

If you are able to recruit a guest speaker or would like to be a speaker please send me their/your contact information.

Your help is GREATLY appreciated!

Frankford Volunteers

All schools within PISD are using the Raptor sign-in system to ensure student safety. This system enables schools to run a check on all visitors through a national database. Upon your first visit to Frankford—any person who wishes to enter the building, other than to the school office, must have a driver’s license or state-issued photo ID and will be scanned using the Raptor system regardless of your application status.

This would also include anyone who has a current approved volunteer application on-file with the school and district. For those who still need to apply to become approved volunteers, please use this link www.pisd.edu/volunteer and mark "Frankford" as your campus of choice.

For official PISD guidelines, please visit: http://www.pisd.edu/about.us/safety/index.shtml
