Cool Cat News
Campus Brief
Cool Cats,
Oh what fun! We had a great time at the Pre-K family picnic and during our Pre-K field day! The kids were having SO much fun at both events! It was a great time for family fun. A HUGE shout out to all of our fabulous Pre-K/PPCD teachers and aides!!!! You made field day a great success! I loved seeing your patience and care of your students as they explored the various activities! It was such a reminder of how blessed we are...to watch you enjoy your students today. It was SO much fun!
Remember next week we have Team Leader Meeting on Tuesday and a Staff Meeting on Wednesday!
I have enjoyed being in your classrooms this week! Woot! Woot to those who had their lesson frames up, easily visible, and in use!
All TTESS summatives have been completed. Please make sure you sign off on your summative next week if you have not scheduled an EOY meeting. Remember, your 1st 3 domains are documented in your 45 minute observation document. Only domain 4 will be documented in your summative. Please sign the summative electronically. Thank you.
STAAR Motivation- Please remember that the Morris Brothers sponsored by PTA are scheduled to be here on May 10th during our Hartman Huddle. This will be for the whole campus! We are so excited to have them again! We will also have a special visit from Miss Texas on Wednesday May 8th at 8:15am. We will limit this motivational talk to our 3rd and 4th grade students only. We will add these events to our calendar below.
Lastly, I want to that you all for your commitment to keeping our parents involved through your classroom Facebook pages! You do a wonderful job making sure our parents can connect with the learning happening in our classrooms. It means the world to our parents to see their Cool Cats happy, safe, and learning through the rich instruction and activities happening throughout our day! You're doing a great job! Thank you!
Quote of the week:

Next week let's focus on trying to make someone around us feel better, more encouraged, and uplifted! It's funny how making someone else feel better somehow makes us feel better too! Have an EXCELLENT weekend!

Meet Dawn Williams! 3rd Grade Math/Science
I couldn't be more excited to be a Hartman Cool Cat! My daughter and I moved to Wylie just before the 17-18 school year started specifically because of all of the great things we heard about Wylie ISD. I have been so impressed with her teachers and schools that I knew this was also where I wanted to be. I have been in education for 25 years teaching students from Pre-K through 12th grade and also working on the public relations and technology side as well. This will be my first public school teaching position and I can't wait to get started. My third-grade teacher, Ms. Blanton, is my teaching inspiration and it is so very perfect that I get to join the amazing teachers of the Hartman 3rd grade team. On top of all of this awesomeness, I get to teach Math and Science... and those are my favorites! Other than teaching, my top three activities are listening to all kinds of music, singing, and cooking. My math-loving daughter and I like all kinds of crafts and go birdwatching and kayaking whenever we can.
Meet Kathryn Klakamp! 4th Grade Math/Science
Hi, Cool Cats! My name is Kathryn Klakamp, but feel free to call me Kati. I am so excited to be a part of Hartman! I grew up in Wylie and so did my sisters, my fiancé and his family, and my mother along with her siblings. I am graduating from University of North Texas this May and getting married this December. I am so excited to meet everyone and start teaching those 4th graders!
