President's Message
Whew - what a change of pace in life since my last newsletter! School is definitely back in session. I know many of you are feeling it, too...and you retired folks can surely remember. We are starting to get in the groove though, thank goodness!
Thank you to everyone who was able to make the September meeting. We accomplished a great deal in our time together...and I survived my first meeting as President! I look forward to a more casual gathering in November!
Although the hurricanes (both of them!) tried to thwart our gathering, I was able to attend the Eta State Executive Board meeting on Saturday, October 13th in Elon. One of the suggestions was that we do something to show support to our DKG sisters in the east whose schools have been damaged or destroyed by the recent storms. We, as Presidents, brought over $1100 worth of gift cards to the meeting, so we know we can make a really big impact if whole chapters pitch in to help. We have a couple of options that we will discuss further at our November meeting...but if you would like to bring donations with you - cash or gift cards - that would be great!
See you soon!

Digital Biennium Handbook (and Tech Tip for Members)
1. The document will be "View Only" so that no one accidentally changes anything. (The beauty of google docs is collaborative editing, but that can also be a problem when large number of people are sharing a document - accidents happen!)
2. Becky Snyder (as 2nd VP) and I will have editing rights, so if any changes need to be made (addresses, hostesses, etc) we can make those on our end and your copy will be automatically updated.
3. You may print your own copy if you wish to have a hard copy for reference.
***Any questions or issues with accessing it, please let Becky or I know!
