CIA's Mission Statement is to provide learning experiences that assist students in developing the skills needed to be successful throughout their schooling and beyond.
PRINCIPAL SIMMONS SAYS...
Dear Parents,
As we begin the second half of this grading period, I am reminded that we have a lot in front of us as we get ready for ILearn, End-of-Module Assessments, ELA Unit tests, and report cards. Like any winning team, we want to stay on course and perfect the qualities that make teams champions. What will it take to make CIA educational victors? When we think of athletic teams, there are several characteristics they all have. Here are attributes that apply to our CIA team:
1. Discipline: We need to avoid distractions from our game plan and continue our important work. We can't let obstacles or excuses get in the way of our success.
2. Strong Defense: Educators need to take defensive action to keep students engaged and CORE procedures tight. Students can not "run with the ball" without understanding their role as a learner. Their goals are to gain points for learning and behavior.
3. Teamwork: We need to support and collaborate with each other.
4. Planning: We need to begin with the end in mind by using data to plan how to get there (increased Pass rate, academic growth) and execute plan with fidelity.
5. Stay healthy: We need to find balance, eat well and exercise.
6. Prepared: We need to plan ahead, have materials ready to go and expect the unexpected, so we are proactive, not reactive.
7. Skilled: We must continue to refine our skills and reflect on our individual needs. Continuous improvement is our goal.
8. Fans: We need to cultivate our fans. Our fans are our parents, teachers and community. Through communication and success, students will know they have an avid group of supporters in their corner. They will not want to let them down.
CIA students, staff and families are an awesome dedicated group! Like all winning teams, dedication and work ethic will get the job done. Go Cougars!!!
