PI Day Craft by Anna Lineback

Microwave Apple Pie (In a mug)

This week in honor of Pi Day (which we missed over Spring Break), I decided to make an apple pie in a mug. I really liked how this turned out for me, and I’m sure you’ll like it if you decide to try it out. It only takes about 3 minutes to cook, and is a fairly simple recipe. Enjoy!

Tbsp- Tablespoon

Tsp- Teaspoon

Ingredients

  • ¼ Cup flour

  • ½ Cup apple pie filling (or 2 ½ tbsp applesauce and 2 tbsp of diced apples.)

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp milk

  • ¼ tsp baking powder

  • (Optional but recommended) Granola

Three lunches and a meme

BY ANNA STUDER

WELCOME TO SCHOOL LUNCH REVIEWS! MY NAME IS ANNA STUDER, AND I AM A FOOD CRITIC. I HAVE BEEN TAKING PHOTOS OF MY LUNCH SINCE THE THIRD MONDAY OF SCHOOL. I don’t want to make the lunch ladies look bad, because they have to make lunch for 600 students a day, and the government won't let them make things that they could last year, so imagine how difficult it must be. THEY WORK SO HARD, AND I JUST WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT. I HOPE YOU ENJOY!

No meme for today, this is temporary, don't worry!:

This is me taking a selfie with miss carol gray during my meeting with her on wednesday, march 9th! We talked about how she asked “Where’s the food?” When she saw the little breakfast options that we have compared to the ones where she used to work, Eden Elementary. Miss Gray also talked about food shortages and how almost none of the food she ordered for the lunches did not come in because it was completely out of stock. She wants kids to know that there are options instead of the meal, if either meal option does not look too good. There are PBJs and other things by the ice creams. She has two kids in the 7th grade who go to school with us, Cece and Will Stephenson. The cafeteria Facebook page is G-C Junior HIgh Cafeteria.
