A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
This week the children enjoyed visiting the specialty teachers for Art, Music, and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Next week they will be introduced to Spanish and Gymnastics. It was wonderful to see their excitement for exploring new activities and learning new things.
Students who were recommended by their teachers for speech screenings were screened over the last two weeks. Results and information will come home in your child's folder. Next week we will begin free OT screenings for children recommended by their teacher. If you have questions about any screenings or results, please reach out to me or to the therapist conducting the screenings.
PK/TK children usually participate in hearing screenings conducted by TU, however, due to COVID, the onsite screenings are limited this year. I am waiting to find out if ECDC will be on the schedule. In the meantime, if you have any concerns about your child's hearing, please talk with your pediatrician for recommendations.

Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up in a few weeks. An email will be sent to all parents with directions for scheduling online. Due to COVID regulations, ECDC will not be offering childcare during conferences this year.
Please continue practicing safe measures at home to minimize the spread of illness. With your help, we can keep our exposures and quarantines low throughout the year. It is important to also encourage healthy behaviors with your children. The CDC recommends the following:
Wash your hands often
Avoid close contact
Wear a mask when around others
Cover coughs and sneezes
Clean and disinfect frequently
Monitor your health daily
