Blanco High School Panther Prowler
September 21st, 2020 - UPDATE
Hello Panther Parents!!
This is the last week of the 1st six weeks! What a whirlwind last month or so! Your students are AMAZING. They have done a great job wearing masks during the day and at school events. They are quick to clean up the student sections after volleyball and football games. They are respectful in the hallways. I mean you really should be proud of them...they help make Blanco High School a special place to be.
Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally
Due to concerns surrounding COVID, we are unfortunately having to cancel the homecoming parade and the pep rally. We are working on plans which would include just the parents of the homecoming court/attendants which will take place on Wednesday evening. This will also serve as a practice run-through for what the halftime will look like. Details regarding this will be sent out to the families associated with the nominees.
Senior Pictures
If you missed the opportunity to get your senior pictures made this last Saturday, we will be having Prestige come back on Thursday, October 29th to catch all the seniors we might have missed on the first go-around. More information will be coming as we get closer to that day.
School Picture Makeups (Freshmen - Juniors)
We will have LifeTouch back on campus on Wednesday, October 7th for any retakes for underclassmen. If you are an online learner and did not get a chance to get a picture, please plan on coming up from 8:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. to get your picture made for the yearbook.
Moving from online learning to in-person learning
I have had a couple of questions regarding moving students from online to in-person so I thought it best to address it. We welcome any student who is currently learning online to come back to in-person learning anytime you want. All we ask is to give me and their teachers a heads up so we can know to expect them in the classroom. I feel like we have a pretty good system between school expectations and parents who are monitoring and doing what they need with their students in terms of keeping them at home if they have any symptoms. As of the writing of this, we have not had any issues with our students or staff! I am knocking on wood right now!
