Graduating Senior, Judy Charles (pictured below) was recognized at the Bibb County School District Board of Education Meeting on October 18th for being selected to participate on the 2018-2019 State School’s Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council. Pictured (left to right) with Judy are Dr. Curtis Jones, Jr. - Superintendent of Bibb County Schools, Mr. Kevin Adams – Principal of Howard Middle School who accepted the award on behalf of his student, Judy, Dr. Cindy Gibson – Superintendent of the Georgia Academy for the Blind, and Mrs. Barbara Alston – Director/Principal of Hutchings College and Career Academy. We are so proud of Judy and grateful for our collaboration with the Hutchings College and Career and the Bibb County School District.

Georgia Lions Club Camp for the Blind’s 2018 CHRISTMAS CAMP Helping Others DECEMBER 7-9
Cost of 2018 Christmas Camp: $100, Cost with Transportation (Bus): $175
No camper will be denied due to inability to pay entire fee. Contact Sonya Milam for scholarship information.

The Case of the Missing 1000 Box Tops: November 2, 2018
Our detectives were hot on the trial this week and found over 100 Box Tops. Josiah collected 100 and Hope found 14 . (See pictures below) What a great start to our next goal! During the holidays you may buy extra items, please look on everything you purchase and help us reach our goal of 1000 Box Tops before December break. Yes, they show up in the most unusual places. I know we can do it! A note to remember: Box Tops do expire, so when you get a few send them in as soon as possible for us to receive the dime for each one collected. Our detectives are working hard, and our school appreciates it. See link below for a list of participating products.
