Happy New Year!
Welcome back! We hope your family has had a WONDERFUL holiday break and is off to a terrific beginning of the New Year! While we've enjoyed our time off, we sure have missed the children. We look forward to the sights and sounds of little ones bustling about the building tomorrow morning and can't wait to hear about all of the fun they've had!
Boys and Girls, Did you read over the break?
Don't forget to bring back your cup of hot chocolate and marshmallow project to show all of the reading you accomplished over the break! This is a picture of one of our students that took the opportunity to read to his pet over the holidays. We would love to see a picture of reading you did as well!
New Dismissal Time
Please remember that effective tomorrow morning, January 4th, our afternoon dismissal time will be 2:50 p.m. This is 5 minutes later than it has been and will continue throughout the remainder of the 2015-2016 school year.
7 Habit Focus for the Week: Habit 3: Put First Things First
During the week, your child (with their teacher's help) will review their personal and academic WIGS (Wildly Important Goals) and set new WIGS if needed. Ask your child about their goals and what they are working on.
January is Label Your Items Month at Cypress!
As we head into the next couple of months of cold weather, please remember to place your child's name in their coat, so that we can return it to them should it get misplaced. We have student leaders that work the lost and found. They work diligently to get lost coats and other items back to their owners, but can only do this if they can identify who it belongs to. Thank you in advance for helping us help your child keep up with their belongings!
2 Big Dates
This Thursday, January 7th is Cypress Night at PDQ! We appreciate you coming out to further support fundraising at Cypress.
Friday, January 15th is the end of the 2nd 9 week period. Please join us in reminding your child to get all assignments completed and turned in!
