Summer School Learning
Design Thinking for our primary students includes 6 projects that are all tied to literacy where students read a text and then need to create a project inspired by their reading. We saw 2nd Grade begin building houses and next they will build bridges! If you have a student in Kindergarten, First or Second Grade, be sure to ask him or her if their class has started their projects!
Passion Projects for our intermediate students provide a rich opportunity for students to delve into research and learning of their own passion. Through the unit, students will go through a process to brainstorm, research, collaborate, create, and share their learning. Projects must include a “Stretch”-something the student has never done or learned about before. We can't wait to see what students in these grades will create this summer!
Transportation Changes
Morning Arrival
We understand the desire to walk your students to class, especially when they are younger. As we move into our second week of Summer School, please encourage your student to begin walking more independently! You may find it's best to start by dropping them off halfway on Monday and then having them go the whole way on Tuesday.
Online Residency Verification is Open!
All families with returning students will be required to complete online verification. Only a legal guardian living with a student can verify that student. The link is now available in the Parent Portal!
