College Application Day
Seniors,
If you haven't already reserved your spot for College Application Day be sure to do that by clicking here.
There will be several admissions reps here that day to help you with any application for any college. Make sure you take advantage of the experts we'll have on hand to help you with questions you have on your applications!
Some colleges will be waiving application fees but not all; you should be prepared to pay your application fee in case your college is not one waiving the application fee. If you have received a fee waiver to take the SAT or ACT you may be able to use an application fee waiver if the school will allow. See the list at the end of this email of the schools we are already expecting to waive fees during our College Application Day this year.
It's a great idea to go ahead and look over, or start, any applications you will be submitting in case there are things you need your parent/guardian to help answer. I've attached a college application worksheet of things you'll want to know, or know how to find out, since they are asked on most applications. Even if you are not able to start each application you're planning to submit you should look over this information to best prepare yourself.
If your application requires an essay or personal statement, you should have at least a draft of that written before you come. It is best if you have it completed and ready to upload but the day of the event is not the time to start writing your essays. I hope you have taken advantage of the free RB Writing Center tutors who have been reading and editing college essays this month!
If you have not activated your Parchment account you should do that before Tuesday so you can send your transcript for each college you are applying. You have received emails from Parchment with a link to quickly take you through the process so check your email to complete that.
We are looking forward to celebrating your application submissions with you! If you have any questions, contact your school counselor.

Signing Out Procedures
A reminder to parents regarding signing students out during the school day. Someone from the student's sign out sheet must come in and show ID to dismiss a child. We do not accept phone calls or emails for dismissal. You can come in on Monday to sign your child out during the week but only up until Friday of the same week. Also, if you are dismissing your child during ILT, then it is helpful to have made arrangements with the student ahead of time. We appreciate your help to assist in making this process efficient.
