Reflections from Elder's Desk
Each day when I walk the halls of AMCHS, I reflect on how blessed I am and truly thankful for each of you! It’s not by a happenstance that you are where you are, but you are here to fulfill your PURPOSE. So, even on your worst day, “You are still somebody’s hope.”
On last Monday, I was reminded again—the positive impact you have in our AMCHS family. Several of our family members stretched beyond the confines of a classroom to intervene during a startling time. One of our student-athletes passed out during a water break and was found unconscious in the locker-room; Indeed, it was a frightening moment, but one of our trainers and coaches demonstrated “the why” in what they do. I want to applaud the work of Coach Sayler, Coach Pratcher, Coach Hines, and Trainer Patke for aiding and providing the medical attention to one of the student-athletes during this unforeseen time. Also, the medical attention that EMT provided was top-notch. We are truly blessed to work with such dedicated individuals who are committed to giving their best!
Several administrators within CSISD continued their Results Coaching training. Though the training did not lend new information, the workshop allowed participants an opportunity to practice the coaching process. Ultimately, the coaching framework allows an individual to self-reflect, strengthen relationships, and enhance performance to significantly empower the trainee. Eventually, it can make a huge difference in the impact you have on others.
Finally, Tiger admin has been intentional in examining learning at AMCHS and would love to observe you in action! If you have an exciting lesson that you would like for us to observe, please let us know. We are eager to provide you the support you need.
