Smallpox and causes

Smallpox is a contagious disease that can kill anyone of any age. The way to get smallpox person when cough from a person , touch skin of another person, breathing in the virus from another person. Smallpox is a disease that started in the 1700s, many people has got smallpox and died.

Symptoms of smallpox

Symptoms of smallpox are


  • headache
  • really bad back pain
  • puking
  • having to use the bathroom a lot
  • rashes on your body

Prevention

Some ways to not get smallpox is to stay away from a person who has smallpox, stay away from animals who have smallpox, and get the smallpox vaccine if you haven't already.

What to do when you have smallpox

Many people can get smallpox but the world is trying to get smallpox rid of smallpox. If you been infected by another person you need to go to the doctor and see if they can help you in anyway they can. If your local doctor gives you a vaccine for smallpox it might not be able to work since you already have the disease in your body. Stay away from your family and other people.

Organs that are affected

The organs that are affected are the lungs, spleen, and bone marrow. The lungs will start to have to work harder so the body can get oxygen. The spleen will start to reproduce smallpox if the body is fighting it off to stop it. The bone marrow in other organs will reproduce smallpox as well.

Other Diseases

Some other diseases of smallpox or pox are
Monkeypox- spread by monkeys, rodents, and other primates.
Cowpox- you can get from cows and rodents and from other people who has cowpox.
Vaccina is like smallpox but you can have bumps and pus on your face and mid section.

Who discovered smallpox

The person who discovered smallpox was Edward Jenner in 1749-1823 also known as "the father of immunology". Jenner observe other people who had cowpox, he looked a that pus and the scabs on the person. Jenner realized something that something in the pus was immune form smallpox but you or someone else get cowpox you might be able to be immune to smallpox. Jenner successfully used cowpox on other people, and Jenner sent the people who had cowpox to people with the smallpox disease. Jenner felt dishonored because some people didn't want him as the president of the Jennerian Society. Jenner was granted 10,000 for his vaccination on smallpox. The king granted Jenner 20,000 dollars or 20,000 £. Jenner retired and had a wife and six kids.

The smallpox vaccine was created in 1798 the was man who created the vaccine was Edward Jenner. Many people got the vaccine but not a lot of places got the vaccine.
