Boczkiewicz Qualifies For Golf State Championships

The Howell Golf Team walked away from the State Sectionals with a qualifier for the State Golf Championships this Monday and Tuesday in Joplin. Adam Boczkiewicz made the cut and will now represent Howell at the State Golf Championships. Good luck to Adam and follow @FHVikings on Twitter on both Monday and Tuesday to stay updated on his standing in the tournament.

Howell Tennis Advances Three To State Sectionals

Congratulations to the Howell Tennis Team on advancing three players to the State Sectionals this coming Tuesday. Matt Medley advanced in "Singles" while both Dawson Keim and Riley Dachel advanced in "Doubles." These three Vikings are just one step away from competing at the MSHSAA Tennis State Championships. Track Advances 17 To State Sectionals

This past Saturday was truly a great day to be a Viking! The Howell track program traveled to Battle High School and walked away with 17 track participants that will advance to the State Sectional Meet this Saturday. In order to advance to the State Sectional you must place in the top four of your event in the District Meet.

Girls Lacrosse Earns First Post Season Win In Program History

The Girls Lacrosse Program is only in the second year, but the Lady Vikings are continuing to grow and reach new milestones. This past week they earned their first playoff win with a 20-9 victory over Hazelwood Central. The Lady Vikings moved on to the second round on Friday but fell to a very good Clayton team. Congratulations to Girls Lacrosse on a great season.

JV Baseball Wins Howell Tournament Championship

The JV Boys Baseball Team ended the season on Friday by capturing the Howell Tournament Championship with an 8-6 win over FHC. The Vikings had a strong season and finished the rain-soaked spring season a very strong 15-5. Congratulations to the JV Baseball program on a great season!

22 Students Inducted Into International Thespian Society

The Francis Howell High School’s Limelight Theatre would like to congratulate the following students who have been inducted into the International Thespian Society for 2017. These students have contributed over 100 hours of work in the theatre.

Mary Bellm, Madisyn Johnson, Sarah Bellm, Erin Jones, Hannah Chisnell Grace Kuiper, Shayna Crosby. Camille Lechner, Cydney McCafferty, Kennedy Lindauer, Sophia Donjoian, Grace Nicolay, Jenna Dwornick, Lily Ramsey, Tony Fritzius Kameron Reckart, Marissa Gibbons, Sophia Rizzo, Kyleigh Holman, Taylor Rosansky, Alex Jarvis, Carlie Schroeder

In addition, the Howell Thespian Troupe #1917’s had several Honor Thespians for 2017. These Seniors completed over 600 hours of outstanding contribution and work in the theatre. Mikayla Angeli, Rachel Anthonis, Meghan Swoboda, and Lindsay Mosher all earned this honor.

Congratulations to Rebekah Anthonis for completing over 700 hours of outstanding contribution to the theatre.

Jennifer Wilson Recognized In Missouri Congressional Art Competition

Congratulations to Howell's very own, Jennifer Wilson for receiving Honorable Mention in the annual Missouri Congressional Art Competition. Jennifer was one of only eight high school students recognized for this honor. Howell is full of many talented students and it is great to see their talents being recognized at the State level. Congratulatons to Jennifer for earning such a great honor!

Howell 2017 Cook-Off Winners Announced

The Howell 2017 Cook-Off Winners have been announced! The Cook-Off contest recognizes some of the top chef's at Howell for their creative dishes. This year's "Best Overall Dish" will be featured on The Brass Rail menu this summer! For every dish purchased a percentage will then go toward the Howell Class of 2019! Below you can find the category winners along with the "Best Overall Dish" winner.

Brittany Green Runs 5 Minute Mile

Congratulations to Brittany Green on running her first sub six-minute mile. Brittany ran a 5:57.44 to break the six-minute barrier. We look forward to watching Brittany continue to compete and grow as a track athlete at Howell!

Brohm And Witter Recognized For Sportsmanship

Howell seniors Mike Brohm and Emma Witter have been recognized as the recipients of the Howell MSHSAA Sportsmanship Award. The MSHSAA Sportsmanship Award recognizes one male and one female student-athlete that is a leader inside and out of their activity or sport. Those receiving this award exemplify great leadership traits and sportsmanship. The Francis Howell High School Activities Department stresses the values of Respect, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Excellence as part of our RISE core values. This year’s recipients have worked to live those values and represent Howell and our activities in a positive way.



Mike Brohm is a member of the basketball and volleyball programs. Mike has “led by example” over the course of his high school career and is a great representative of our RISE core values. Mike’s strong work ethic, dedication and sportsmanship has made others around him not only better players but also better people.


Emma Witter is a standout volleyball player on our state runner up volleyball team and has been a positive leader and role model in many activities while at Howell. Emma truly embodies #vikingpride and has been a great representative of Howell and our programs.


Congratulations to both Mike and Emma for their efforts to display great character, sportsmanship and leadership qualities while representing Francis Howell.

Golf Earns Troy Scramble Title

The Golf Team took to the course last week to compete in the Troy Scramble. Our Vikings won the Purple Division of Troy Scramble that took place at Woods Fort. The three two-man teams shot a 218 overall. Congratulations to Boys Golf on a great season!

JV Soccer Finishes The Season 14-1-2

The JV Soccer Team finished the year a very impressive 14-1-2. The Lady Vikings had an undefeated GAC South campaign and also won the Borgia Tournament this season. We look forward to the seasons ahead for this group!

C Soccer Wins St. Joes Tournament

Congratulations to the C Soccer Team on going undefeated in the very competitive St. Joes Tournament. The Lady Vikings earned wins over Cor Jesu, St. Dominic, and St. Joes to go 3-0 in the tournament. The C Team finished the spring season 10-2-1. The future looks very bright for the girl's soccer program!

Freshman Volleyball Has Strong Season

Congrats to Boys Freshman Volleyball on finishing the season 12-4! The Vikings finished second in the regular season GAC standings this season with only two losses. The future looks bright for the Vikings and we look forward to watching this group grow.
