Anorexia is an eating disorder used as a coping mechanism for emotional problems, where the subject obsesses over his/her wieght and the food they eat.
Risk Factors
anorexia is more common in: Women, people under 40, people with alot of stress, people with a good reputation, and people in media.
Treatment
Therapy
a psychologist will talk with the patient and decide good behavoral strategies that will help them regain and keap a healthy weight.
Medical Care
a physician will monitor the patient and their vital signs. if neccessary the patient will be fed throught the tube.
Medication
In some casses anti depressents are adminnistered
Symptoms
Extreme weight loss, thin appearence, abnormal blood count, fatigue, insomnia, fainting, brittle hair, no period in women, dry skin, low blood preassur, and dehidration.
